Feng Shui Weekend
We have a three-day weekend on account of the MLK (Martin Luther King) holiday on Monday.
I have tons of work to catch up on, but also wanted to continue the new year trend of sprucing up, cleaning, putting away and rearranging objects, clearing space for good feng shui energies in this, the Year of the Rabbit...
My eldest daughter's partner sent us lists of what sorts of feng shui amulets to get and detailed instructions on where to place them for maximum efficacy this year.

This is the side table by the living room couch, by the north-facing bay windows.
The lamp with its paper pleated shade casts a soft glow on some of our photographs, which I have moved from their previous location (in a less well-lit part of the room).

Also, today, I wrote "Consonance", my 30th poem in the little series that has now been assembled by Dave Bonta at his Via Negativa blog.
I love what came out of my writing today, but I also love this one-- "Instructions"-- which I wrote in 15 minutes at a coffee shop yesterday.
