TWENTY FOUR HOURS LATER!!!
Continuing on with this series of the unfurling of my amaryllis flower!
yesterday's blip links to the rest of the series, and i keep thinking i'm going to blip something else today, but then i walk past the dining room table, and see how much it has changed....and i'm hooked!!!
In other news.....I've managed to get myself back into the studio and have begun the rhythm of making pots again. I am amazed at how difficult it is to get things started, even altho I know I am always happier, more grounded, when i'm making pots.....and I am aware of how precious this time of year is .... no great demands on production, so a time to be creative and explore. Of course the draw back is there is no demand....there is no pressure to get over there early in the morning, couple that with the need to start the woodstove each morning...well, lets just say it's less than attractive sometimes. But now that i'm in the groove I'm happier.....been making new shapes, new items - and there are more to be explored. I have done the math tho, for the big order that needs to be completed by the beginning of May, that's only about 14 weeks away! And if I don't want to find myself in the position of having to be pressured closer to that due date, I'd better actually start whittling away at it!!! So, in fact I do have a tiny bit of pressure, just enough to keep me on my toes!!!
Saturday night, a glass of wine or 2 - like it's any different any other night.....and a pasta dinner to prepare, not too shabby at all !!!
