Sitar Player

Went to a wonderful party today. Our friends Rajiv and Surbhi arranged a surprise for their parents who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and also dad's 70th birthday. They had worked out a really complicated scenario in order to get them to dress up. It all worked out great and was really emotional. Lovely atmosphere with many friends and family. Loads of kids running around having fun. Their dad had cancer last year and is doing much better now. He had lost a huge amount of weight but looks a little more like he used to. I am sure there must have been times when many there thought he would not make it to his 70th so all the more reason to celebrate. W. and I were asked to take the photographs and I am finding it really hard to choose one. There was a really good band and a very colourful and cheerful sitar player so you're getting him.
