Egyptian alabaster

I was at my parents' today (getting the new car out for a long drive!) so did some blipping there. They have recently had a holiday to Egypt, where they picked up a hand-carved alabaster bowl - this is a close-up of it backlit (by holding close to a lightbulb).

I have learned something about my camera phone today - forget about the zoom and get close to the subject - the zoom is dire and too much picture quality is lost. What with that and the fact that one of my (two) phonecams has no flash, decent blips may become a challenge!

Might blip the new car tomorrow if nothing else appears....!
