Clock and bunting, Grainger Market

A quick snapshot of a view in Grainger Market, a covered market in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne. I happened to look up and see all the bunting across the roof and a lovely clock nestled between it all.

As expected, from a retro and vintage-loving person like myself, I much prefer hanging out in Grainger Market to any of the newer shopping centres - the lighting is better for starters|!

Grainger Market was built in 1835 and is a Grade 1 listed building. Inside it is the world's smallest Marks and Spencer shop - the 'Marks and Spencer Original Penny Bazaar'. I'll take some photos of that later on in the year...
