After illness, dealing with the kids dramas, and everyday stuff, today was set aside to do as little as possible.

We read books, we watched Pink panther cartoons, ate Carbonara, and our sole foray into the real world was to take the hound for a trot round the woods.

Lilly loves pine cones. She knows the area where they fall, and makes a beeline to get there first, and hover saying please. They are thrown, drop-kicked, and sent in all directions for her to chase. This was just before the first pine cone was dispatched, and she was literally quivering with anticipation.

Now back home, girl is watching Princess and the frog, waiting for her tea, and we have a curry simmering for after her bedtime. Also, as I'd been ill, my christmas/new year alcohol remains untouched in the fridge. I've just finished the prescribed medication, and can now drink again. There may be a beer after tea.
