Colour in a world of grey
BEST VIEWED LARGE
My friend Russell and i decided to go out with our cameras today and have a bit of fun. Whilst we were enthusiastic the weather, unfortunately, wasn't. It was cold, wet, windy and worst of all grey!!! Yep it was a photography enthusiasts worst nightmare - there was just no light to play with and everything had this lifeless, depressing grey feel about it ... my enthusiasm soon started to wain.
Not to be beaten though we carried on and took a shed load of pics between us. I think Russ will enjoy the fruits of the labour much more than i will today as the subject of landscapes and buildings etc has never enthralled me - pictures are much more exciting when a person is in them. That's why i prefer shooting (in the photography sense) people.
Having now had the chance to look through the pics, give them a few touches in Lightroom / photoshop and do the general editing i have decided that quite a few just were not that interesting. I won't call it a bad day, i enjoyed being sociable and spending the day in the fresh air ... however i just wished there was something more exciting to take pics of (although i wouldn't want to upset the moderators - they are doing a stirling job at keeping the imagination well out blip)!!
This pic is of the beach huts at Boscombe Beach ... the only colour in todays miserable bleak offerings. The rest of the pics can be found on my Flickr page.
Off for a beer now to warm me up :)
