Enzo the Baker

Wind along the riverbank

In awe of some great blippers, I'm Gimping my way back to black and white. I can still recall the soft soapy feel of the developer, and sharp acidity of the stop bath (Paterson, with litmus indicator). I have vivid memory of being in the darkroom listening to, I think, Douglas Stewart for The World Tonight on the Democratic Convention in Chicago, 1968.

Tweaking sliders in Gimp 2 isn't quite the same as sliding a sheet of Ilford Grade 5 under the enlarger, but at least I don't get the rash from the fixer any more.

Jogged 3 miles + today. Tailwind on the way back - best way round. Cameraphone isn't as sharp as a compact, but is so much lighter.
