Trouble in Tunisia

This is a chess set that we bought in Tunisia a few years ago - it is of Saracens and Crusaders. Over the last few days there has been trouble in Tunisia and riots and demonstrations in Tunis. As I looked around for my blip of today I suddenly saw the chess set and thought of our holiday there, the peace and tranquillity but also the reminders of its violent past with the Roman coliseum at Djem (inspiration for Gladiator), the harbour at Carthage and the Carthaginian wars. Let us hope and pray that the present turbulence will soon be over and that Tunisia is once again a place of peace and tranquillity.
