Bridgehead
Went to the Post Office at lunch today so I took this picture of the eastern end of the Greenside Place Bridge as I walked the steps up to it from Calton Hill.
The bridge, which was completed in the last decade, 'snakes' across Leith Street in an S-shape, from Calton Hill to the St James Centre.
It's a lot of steel, aluminium and glass to put right next to a World Heritage Site, but personally I like it (less so the latest office block which has removed one of the last views of Calton Hill from street level). And this bridge is much less of an eyesore than the bridge it replaced.
