Beauty Day

The farm was a hive of activity today, we had more farriers than we knew what to do with. I was wondering out loud what a collection of farriers is called, one of them replied an "idiot" and another a "p***head", still none the wiser!

So once GT had had his new shoes (he gets new shoes more often than I do, its just not fair!!) he then had to go and see the dentist who was also on the farm today for a routine checkup and file, which is why he was in the contraption in the picture.
It doesn't hurt them just keeps their mouths open for work to be done. Unlike humans horses teeth continue to grow throughout their lives and so have to be filed down to keep them healthy.
He was so good for both situations especially as it was freezing, although he did end up with some of my hot chocolate and egg sandwich so he did get a treat.

Off to thaw out now and get ready for my haircut tonight xx
