This is your cushion

Yay! I love Fridays! Busy, but lovely to be back home with the boys and the whole weekend stretching in front of us.

Small success today, I usually spend all the time I'm preparing for tea telling no.1 son to go and play somewhere and he usually spends the time I'm preparing tea just clinging to my leg. I normally end up bribing him to sit nicely with breadsticks and rice cakes. Today he spent a happy 15 minutes choosing books to read after tea. They were lined up in order they would be read and he chattered all about them. He even lined up all the cushions in our dining room and decided who would sit where, in preparation for reading the books. Fabulous.

This is him and the second rascal sitting on aforementioned cushions waiting for storytime to begin. It felt a bit like I misguidedly thought parenthood would be when I was pregnant! And how I sometimes think it might have been, if only we'd had girls!!

Of course there were other trying moments. There's been an ongoing battle over throwing things down the stairs and that sort of thing - but let's not spoil the moment!
