We got up and off for gymnastics in plenty of time this morning, so we got to sit and have a chat with some friends before the class. She enjoyed it a lot today. She spent most of the free play gathering beanbags from beside the barrel they were supposed to put them in (which she couldnt reach) and stashing them all in a hole in one of the pieces of apparatus. Her and ava also really enjoyed climbing the crash mat 'hill' that had been made for one of the activities - so much so that despite them being taken to sing a song, the second it was finished, they turned together and both belted for the mats. The unity of their cheekyness was quite amusing.

We stopped for soft play, but there were some rather rowdy big kids. She ate a really good lunch before we headed home. After a nearly 2hour sleep, she surfaced in a brilliant mood. She'd been playing for a while then presented me with her shoes. I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk. She went and got me her coat. I said 'hmm, where did I leave my shoes'. She took me to those too.

She's been having a 'sorting' day today. Whilst playing with her wooden blocks, she went through them and pulled out all the cylinders (then stashed them in the shopping tray of her pushchair - one of her favourite stashing places). On our walk, we went past the play cafe and she was determined to go in, so we went and said hello to the girl working in there. Katie was looking at a wooden jigsaw and picked out all the purple pieces.

The blip is Katie kissing Woof, the dog that she blagged on Christmas Eve, as I was too embarassed from having to ask 'how much is that doggy in the window' to then not buy it despite a fairly hefty price tag (for a small dog). But she has played with him loads, so I don't mind quite so much
