Dough
I have made three types of dough over the past three days. Play dough (that'll be the blue one), salt dough, and biscuit dough. All muchly enjoyable for very different reasons. Ben loves the blue playdough, three mornings in a row now he has played with the playdough while eating breakfast. (He's smart enough not to confuse the dough with his food. Thank goodness.) I made salt dough for me to play with, while Ben was pretending to be a digger with his playdough, I was cutting out cars and tractors. I'll paint them another day. Then I made biscuit dough. Even if I made it wrong (I microwaved the butter to soften it - right at the moment when Ben decided he'd finished washing up. A moment's distraction, and the butter was melted rather than simply softened.) it still tastes good. I feel bad for the gingerbread man that broke on transfer to the wire rack. He had a good send-off though. (Ben and I shared him.)
Three different doughs, all for different purposes, all incredibly enjoyable, and now I have no plain flour left! Thankfully the playdough just gets collected up and put away, there is plenty of salt dough left for when inspiration next takes hold, and there is quite a lot of biscuit dough left too so we can make biscuits together tomorrow as well.
Ben is MUCH better today. We had the last puke at about 2 am, and none since. Today it's as if nothing ever happened! Here's Steve's picture of Ben last night. I'm slightly incredulous as the change in Ben. Despite Ben being better, we have had a pyjama day today. And played with dough, and trains. We've not eaten much but then we did get up at half past ten, and I've nibbled all day. Toast, mainly. And a couple of fresh biscuits :)
All is well in the jumpingbean household. Even the tooth is ok. Apart from some cotton wool sticking out from under the temporary filling which is driving me nuts...
