Cutting it fine...

I left for work this morning with my petrol light on thinking that I could just about manage to get to the petrol station on the way before I ran out. Unfortunately the road was then closed and without thinking I just followed the cars in front that were taking a detour.

I didn't realise quite how long this detour was and started panicking when I was still in the middle of nowhere and the 'miles left' count down got into single figures!

I won't be doing that again.
