Take-off

New batteries arrived and, after a few moments gingerly (no offence intended) re-familiarising myself with the controls, regained the hover.

Don't underestimate the haste in setting the camera on a 10 second delay, pressing the shutter, then grabbing the transmitter and getting it airborne, stable(ish) and in the frame before the flash goes off!

No snapped rotor blades yet :)
