alice's adventures

Not inspired

My lovely Beau and I share a delight in found objects and resourceful creativity.

Today didn't inspire (either of us).

He emptied the contents out of the back of the paper hole-punch and pushed the little bits around the table as if to ask them what he should do next. He then stuck them onto some laminating paper. It looked promising for a while but it didn't lead him anywhere, so he started to annoy his brother.

He has the ability to notice things that other people would not give a second glance. He finds treasure which doesn't shine out to others.

He is my little magpie.

He does incredible sculptural things with paper clips, chunks of ice, torn up paper, rope, pegs, shells etc . He sees potential in everything, however big, small or seemingly useless.

He makes me little parcels with hearts buried inside and hides them around the house.

He once made a miniature garden.
It was beautiful.
He then transfered every last little bit into a big jar, he added glitter and water and stirred it. It became a magic potion. The transformation made him happy and he said it was for me.

The day I realised he was a transformer was a good day.
