Emergency Planning College
Hawkhills, Easingwold
I was here today to be trained as an Incident Manager in case of emergencies. It was a useful and testing course, and the Hawkhills site was a fascinating place to be. The building was taken over by the Ministry of Works in 1937 for antigas training, and of late it is has been owned by the Cabinet Office to provide training in Emergency Planning.
Alas, the morning was grey and dark and there was precious little time to get out before the course began. Hence this photo, and an opportunity to experiment with our ancient version of Photoshop. The alternative blip might have been a dead sheep on its back in a field with a crow standing by, but I've spared you that. The course finished in darkness and it then took 5 hours of taxis, trains, walking and driving to get home - hence no blip last night.
Since I failed to get a decent photo of Hawkhills or its grounds, you can see photographs here.
This is back-blipped on Thursday.
