the actual birthday

her sisters and brother produced 40 presents to fill the toy caravan her grandfather had made and that they'd done up for her. how lovely.

we watched her open presents. ate loads of cake. lost track of time. sadly decided that we were too tired to go to edinburgh to carry flaming torches around and went home to sleep in our own beds.

and those are posh pink socks so it's ok that i wear them even tho they've got holes in
