Cramond Brig - Ice Bridge of Cycle Death

Here is a snap of one of the most western Edinburgh sections of National Cycle Network Route 1.

This route goes from John O' Groats to Dover, and Edinburgh Council has a responsibility for a number of these miles.

Sadly the route has been completely impassible for a while - I had a look tonight and, genuinely, you would need crampons to walk over. I've tried to photo the shiny, crash happy surface; forget cycling. Heaven help anyone not ready to meet this as they come down the hill towards it.

If you drivers have noticed cyclists joining you on the roads more than usual these days it's because we can't use the cycle lanes. Please take it easy when you overtake...
