Flowers for a rainy day

I love this local artwork in Vlaardingen, Zuid-Holland. These steps lead down from the older architectural area to the main, modern shopping centre of the city, designed by someone named Charlotte apparently.

I've been meaning to take a photo of these brightly-coloured, hippie-ish steps for a while, the lights glistened up at me from the rain-soaked floor which reminded me to whip out my camera. Little quirky things like this certainly brighten up a dull, gloomy January afternoon.
