Der Kaiser

There was a time when I used to play football every week. In fact, at least 2 or 3 times a week, only a few years ago. These days I'm more of a fair weather player and with the rain coming down you wouldn't expect me to go out in that, but will be playing tonight for the first time in 2011.
Nowadays it's not competitive (well that's what we pretend!), but simply a group of friends getting some exercise and having a fun game.

So instead of taking the camera out into the rain and getting it soaked, or destroying it with a shot 20 yards off target hitting it, I thought I'd take a shot of my favourite football memento. It's my Adidas Teamgeist World Cup 2006 football signed by a man so good at football that they call him Der Kaiser.

One of the greatest football players of all time and a really nice bloke, it's Franz Beckenbauer.
