Doulton Fountain

This is the Doulton Fountain near the peoples palace on Glasgow Green. It was moved here after renovation in 2005. I was walking around the Green today and passed the fountain. I thought after all the recent Ice it may have been damaged but here it is spouting away.

Ive been off work since new years day as new shifts are being implemented and my group of shifts go right on to our winter leave at new year. I go back to work on Monday so Ive had plenty time to laze around. It sounds great until you read the small print. My hours have to be annualised and it means I and many like me owe the fire service an extra 128 hours this year, when they can call me in at their convenience. thats an extra 14 days ! So this wee holiday isn't a holiday it's really just borrowed time.

Having had all this time off I have been over indulging over the new year period. At this rate i'll be too fat to put any fires out by the time I get back ha ha !
