A Tartan Tale

It finally came!

For Christmas my Mom had ordered me a limited edition MAC eyeshadow palette (for the holidays MAC does a special line of makeup sets according to a theme- last years was "Magic, Mirth and Mischief!" whatever the heck THAT means). But the collection was totally sold out (people buy it up, wait, and then sell it on eBay for $100 since it's SO SPECIAL) and backordered for weeks.

I usually don't pay any attention to "limited edition" whatevers because I'm not really that into makeup (I am easily overwhelmed when presented with too many options so places like Sephora kind of freak me out) and mostly just replace stuff when I run out.

BUT, as per usual, the packaging totally sucked me in. I love plaid, and the front of this particular palette looks a little like our family tartan. And the shadow colors are neutral, nothing too crazy, so I will actually wear them.

Yay - I can't wait to try them out! Thanks Mom.
