A good day for birds!

Blipping early today as I have a meeting tonight. I really have no choice in what to post today. A few days ago I captured a picture of a red-bellied woodpecker, but I posted something else. Today the woodpecker was kind enough to pose for another photo op (Ha! Woodpeckers don't pose, you know, but at least he came close enough for me to blip him, although a fair amount of cropping was necessary). So here is the mis-named woodpecker. I wonder why he is a red-bellied woodpecker when his head is much redder than his belly?
