Blue Tit

Realised I hadn't blipped these wee guys. They are my favourite visitors to the garden as they are always so happy sounding and looking. I could sit watching them all day!

Had another wee greenish/yellowish looking bird in the garden today - another new one, but wasn't quick enough with the camera to blip him so not sure what kind he was - hopefully he'll return so I can get a photo :)

On another point of interest the the first Western Isles record of a Blue Tit was in 1956 in Harris. Since 1996 Blue Tits have been recorded breeding in Stornoway, usually in the Castle grounds. Their numbers are gradually increasing, and their range extending as plantations across the island mature. Only a few sightings each year are made in the Uists. (www.western-isles.co.uk)

Reckon my visitors must be the Castle Grounds ones.
