My favourite camera
I'm only 31, but I feel like a real old lady when I tell people how much I prefer film to digital! Today, I was so excited to go to my local photography place and pick up my prints from films I shot a good few months ago. The reason I'm now Blipping is I am starting a digital SLR course very soon, and want to Blip my progress (and hopefully, falling in love with digital).
This is a quick snap of my Nikon F80 (the favourite camera in question) and some of the pile of goodies I picked up today. I'm really proud of my series of photos of the old Brutalist 'Get Carter' car park in Gateshead as they were demolishing it, and the amazing sky I saw to the back of my row of terraced flats, so a couple of those have snuck into the bottom of the photo... I couldn't afford to get them scanned to CD at the same time, which is a shame.
And underneath it all is the old, slightly tatty blanket my dotty 'great great aunt' (I think she maybe was a family friend, not a relative....) made specially for me a long time ago. She was in a motorised wheelchair by then and had crocheted herself a 'woman and motorised chair' cover, and used to zoom round the streets of the Nottinghamshire mining town I'm originally from, causing mayhem and giggles...
