The Siegfreid Line

Were going to hang out the washing on the Siegfreid Line, have you any dirty washing mother dear?

We love this song which both babes learned whilst doing World War II at primary school. I remember my girl had the opportunity to sing war time songs at an old folks tea dance, dressed in their best 40's gear and hairstyles. I stopped short of gravy browning stockings for her.

By gum, it's a right pea souper today. Visibility in Queesnferry only reached half way up the marvellous bridges at the brightest point of the day. I took some lovely shots of the rail bridge with very little showing and a lots of mist, but my desire for colour won out. Mum's washing line was covered in raindrops.

We seemed to get through a number of tasks today. I am responsible for the regular pedicure as my sister has never been able to touch feet. She doesn't even like to see them. We have very different perspectives on feet. She would rather they were covered up and hidden. I would rather they were out, about and celebrated.

Dad had a touch of the January blues about him, difficult to argue him out of that one. I did offer to add a splash of colour to his feet in the form of Green nail polish to replicate 'his team'. I'll not tell you what he said!

No obvious skills task today - last night was about flash and no time for that with all the jobs - may also need more practice
