Strawberry Fields

Strawberry fields forever! I think not; behind these gates was the Childrens home (long pulled down) that inspired the song of the that name by the Beatles.
This was not the 'shot' I planned for to-day but due to a much needed visit to Morrisons I decided to photograph this famous gate.
The last time I was here about 5yrs ago a coach pulled up behind my car out poured a group of enthusiastic Japanese people taking their photo's; thankfully I was alone this time except for passing traffic.

The weather totally unlike yesterday is a grey damp day but at least the cheerfully repainted gates stand out.
Sad about the idiots that have to leave their own marks on the walls; the council will probally clean it before the tourist season starts (I hope)
