Wisdom
It was a beautiful memorial today. I kept the tears in until the his son spoke -
I sang The Lord's Prayer. My mom was proud of me :)
I love stained-glass windows. They are a lost art. The service was held in a Presbyterian church with lovely windows. This being one of them. I drawn in by the inscription and it made me think about understanding or wisdom - where do the different degrees of wisdom come from?... and why to some of us utilize more of it than others?
I have a quote on my frig, "All know the way...few actually walk it." Bodhidharma
I really try to walk, but I know I am way off course most of the time.
Jim, the man whose service I sang for today, seemed to be a man of wisdom - his legacy was one of kindness, contribution, eagerness for learn and unselfish love.
Wasn't it Solomon that prayed for wisdom? I really need wisdom - a spiritual wisdom that keeps me out of the fray in the heart of beauty.
Funerals make me very introspective.... can you tell?
My hubby head is great - soar but he was happy with how the surgery turned out.
Update on the commercial audition - i didn't get hired for the one I auditioned for, but they wanted me for another...I shoot on Thursday and for those local blippers - it is for Lithia Motors :)
I got a call today for another funeral on Saturday - I should change my journal name to "The Funeral Singer."
