scratch supper

I had such a busy day after months of lethargy that I really wanted someone to be here to make the evening meal. No such luck! So I defrosted the sausages and whipped up a batter and slung it in the oven without any high hopes.

Amazing I thought as I removed it, it looks gorgeous. Well that was before I went to find the camera etc etc... Once on the plates and the first mouthful having gone in, my aged P and I looked at each other and exclaimed about the flavour! Bramley apple pork sausages the packet said - the small print mentioned sage - the flavour was huge and SCRUMPTIOUS !
