abusive lovehearts.......

well it has been a very sedate new year. just the three of us at home when the bells went. watched them see in the new year on bbc scotland (felt VERY homesick). felt even more homesick when i get a call from Tumshie (LLCoolJims) brother wishing me a happy new year and that he was up in edinburgh and all four brothers had got together with their partners. he also informed me that he met up with another old friend of ours for dinner.
must have been fun and only highlights the fact even more that i am not happy living in london. still we make do the best we can with what we have. i have started the new year with a beautiful daughter and a loving partner. we have our own home and we both have jobs. i also have my other baby, bebec. all in all life could be much worse and i think folk should realise how lucky they are at times cos by and large there is always someone else far worse of than you.

odd then that since i was feeling quite chipper today that i should get this message on my slice of teeth rotting, diabetes inducing cake. this sugar rush from hell was created by Mrs McD and baby McD. They have called it the "sweet shop" cake. no suprise really since it was covered in most of the sweets they could get their hands on. it was basically a victoria sponge covered with non-dairy butter icing (how can you possibly have butter icing without the butter?). to this they then placed a smarties cake on top of it and proceeded to decorate the whole thing with more smarties. chocolate buttons and who knows what else. if you wish to see this killer of a cake look here.

anyway as i said i was suprised to find this message on my slice of cake. if you can't make it out, one heart says "will you" and the other says "cheer up".
i think it is a conspiracy but they all claim to be innocent. for those of you that actually know me then you will see more humour in this than the rest.
you see i am such a happy go lucky sort who spends a lot of my time actually smiling. so this random message couldn't be less appropriate.
(AND IF YOU BELIEVE THAT, THEN I'VE GOT A BRIDGE TO SELL YOU AS WELL)
