Female Bullfinch
Following on from yesterday's blip,, I thought I would show you the female of the same species.
As you can see, the female is a glorious chestnut colour. Birds that have different colours from male to female are said to have dimorphic plumage. Other obvious examples are Chaffinches and Greenfinches.
I tried to get the Goldcrest again today, but the photos just weren't good enough. I will have another go tomorrow.
As an added bonus, I threw in two male Bullfinches and a female Blackbird in this photo! ;o)
