"........a grave and desperate situation.....
Had a blip ready, but after the extreme weather events thought it best to pass on the pretty pic.
Have been watching flood coverage on the telly for the last couple of hours, as the crisis continues to unfold.
The title is a quote from the premier of Queensland, where torrential rains and flash flooding are ongoing. Nine have died so far and sixty are missing. The Brisbane River has broken its banks and there are evacuations in 80 Brisbane suburbs.
It is predicted that rain will be the status quo for weather until April. Of course, where I am, on top of a mountain, it's inconvenient and depressing, but not life threatening. Bushfires are more likely to be our lot, tho not this year.
By the end of the week it's likely that five states will be experiencing flooding, there are severe damaging storms in Melbourne and there are devastating bushfires south of Perth.
The word 'armageddon' comes to mind.
