Before she knew it - she was 35 years old, 3 kids, and married to a stranger. She never thought about it - she never had time to really. Her days filled with other peoples lives and not a second of hers...until now. A brief second to herself waiting for her ride. The moment she sat down it was as if a ton bricks crashing to the cement. Her world stopped while the real world continued. She didn't know who she was - no longer the girl that dreamt of living in Spain for a year studying. No longer the adventurous teenager that had the opportunity to do anything she wanted. She now lives almost robotic - same thing day in and day out. She thinks to herself - When? How? Why? She doesn't have a clue when it all changed. She moves past those questions knowing that the answers really get her nowhere. She is who she is today and doesnt have time to think of who she was yesterday. This brief moment to herself she makes a pact with herself. Not to change her life and leave all that she has but to pay attention. Pay attention to her. She vowed to make these moments consistent as time goes on. To make herself a priority in a life that barely acknowledges she exists.
