I was always quite reluctant about the Edinburgh Street Party. Cassie (Mrs TFPs cousin) is over from Australia for a bit of a change of scenery and someone gave her a set of tickets for the Hogmanay party.

I quite enjoyed it. It didn't look like the weather was going to be good to us but it seemed to produce a little ring of clear sky just over Princes Street. It was drizzely as we approached the city and walked toward the centre and then it cleared up and stayed mainly dry whilst we were there, holding off until we were plodding back to the car.

I tell you, I've seen the Edinburgh Castle fireworks from a couple of different views, but none do them quite the justice that standing directly underneath them on Princes Street do. Very impressive.
