Winter Cleaning, The Great Hall, Lacock Abbey

It takes 3 or 4 of us about an hour to put this scaffold tower together in the Hall. Then we use it to reach the terracotta statues to give them their annual clean (gentle brush into a hoover to remove dust and cobwebs).

Standing on the top platform of the tower takes some getting used to but it provides a wonderful perspective of the Hall and of the statues. Its always the highlight of my working year.
