Halloween (2 months later)

Last year, a couple weeks after Halloween, when I was wandering about in the darkness that was my pre-blip life, I stumbled upon a house in Brooklyn that had quite a grisly but brilliant post-Halloween display: on the spikes of the fence surrounding the house were carved pumpkins, left to rot, such that the ordinary faces of the pumpkins were transmogrified into gruesome ghosts. I enjoyed photographing those pumpkins last year, though I had no community at the time to share them with.

I thought the pumpkin display was a one time affair, until yesterday, when I spotted them again. Since more than two months has passed you can see the difference from last year -- in fact, some of the pumpkins were rotted beyond recognition.
