Almost Home.

This overbridge, on the M876, is just before the turn-off for Denny/Bonnybridge and was for some years the signal that I was almost home and back to my wife, family, wee dog and a nice hot dinner - Heaven!
During those years I worked firstly at The Gyle then in Orchardbrae, Edinburgh and drove to/from work as there was car parking available. Following an office shift to the city centre, I decided to "let the train take the strain" and park the car at Falkirk High station. Since retirement, there have been so many train delays and cancellations that I am so glad to be well out of it!
I am sure all the regular commuters among you will know the feeling, waiting for a late train in the middle of winter. Forget the Poles, Siberia or Alaska, the coldest place on earth is a railway platform in winter.
