Luke and Andrew

Following on my my Blip of yesterday, this is a portrait of our two generous (and it has to be said form this shot, rather glamorous) hosts during part of our recent Australian trip.

I first met Luke (on the left) when I lived in Melbourne back in the 1990's. He's originally from Perth and Andrew, his partner (right) hails from Melbourne. They now live on a huge property in Castlemaine, in country Victoria, about ninety minutes from Melbourne.

They've been together for around 17 years. I had to ask them if they'd get married, if it was ever allowed in Australia?

"Yes!" comes the answer, without hesitation!
