Had a most splendid night hosting a surprise party for my dear friend's 50th birthday. Well, our house was merely a vessel for the festivities... all the credit goes to dear friend's husband for planning, conniving, cooking, plotting, and making it all happen. It was wonderful to have a house full of awesome people, awesome food, and awesome wine. Too much wine perhaps, judging by the sophistication of tonight's haiku. But it was such a great night. What more than "happy" need I say??
