Poise
This afternoon I went to the Duvauchelle A and P (agricultural and pastoral) show. So much to see and photograph.
This was by far the most satisfying of all the shots I took. I thought about the dressage eveht, how competitors need to tune out everything around them and concentrate, how the couple of minutes goes so quickly; focus yet a blur. I slowed down my shutter speed and experimented with movement.
In case you're wondering if I went to a different country. The predominant European settlers in NZ were English but we were nearly French. Parts of Banks Peninsula (Akaroa and Duvachelle) were French settlements.
