Rough / Smooth

I used to think that our normal life was easy and straightforward and that the rough patches were glitches we had to get through in order to get back to the lovely, short bursts of normality.

Now I realise that mostly, normal life is actually quite hard work and it's the lovely, easy patches that help us along the way. I'm going to appreciate the good times more.
