tempus fugit

Misty sky-spear

A overnight turnaround in London enabled me to take this quick blip of the spire (spear) of Christ Church, Hampstead, looming out of the murky morning air. The church is Victorian, built in the grounds of the old workhouse at a time when the population of the area was changing from impoverished natives to wealthy incomers. Standing high on the hill, it's visible over much of London and has a notable new peal of bells as a result of one young man's single-handed fund raising enterprise a few years ago. The roofs in the foreground belong to a school.

I have added a little 'glow' but kept the slightly off-key perspective.
