we looked like giants

seeing this koala in a parka reminds me of a great homer quote: "this is great! my work life and my home life coming together in such a wonderful way! marge can i see you in the kitchen..."

i thought of a way to explain what it's like to come back to ohio after a year in australia. it's like leaving a really great summer camp. or it's like if you were a character in the fourth season of the o.c. (my favorite so far) and you find yourself suddenly dropped back in the third season where everything was dull, drawn out and real and that dead weight marissa was still alive dragging everyone down.

today was fun though, as i did some serious after christmas shopping and saw "black christmas". soon i will have to consider where i am going to work and make some decisions, but in the meantime i enjoy just "being".
