Any Food?
Took a quick trip this afternoon to Fairburn Ings to get more fat balls. The feeder stations outside the Visitor Centre were overrun with Pheasants, Tree Sparrows, Blue Tits and many others.
The main lake was still frozen, except for a small lagoon around the landing stage. All the birds there were very confiding, probably looking for food. This Black-headed Gull allowed me to get quite close, until it sussed that I didn't have anything to eat, and then turned its back on me and flew off.
