Dog Star.
Photograph of Sirius taken through a diffraction grating held over the eyepiece of my trusty 10X50 binoculars whilst hanging out of a window on a very cold night. Even though the image of the star is slightly blurred, a faint spectrum can be seen to the left with a tantalising hint of a hydrogen absorbtion line.
My first stellar spectrum!
