Egret Posing
Got a camera mount for a small reflector telescope not being put to good use and put it to good use.
Had to hang a marble book end off the front of the scope to counterbalance the camera weight and help stabilize the vibration. Its mount clearly wasn't designed to work with a heavy camera onboard. Got decent results by upping the mirror and waiting a couple of seconds before tripping the shutter. I'll be happier if the sun ever comes out again so I can lower the ISO on my trusty, but noisy sensor, D200. The scope has an effective aperture of about f/14, the price you pay for 1250mm focal length.
