Self Portrait

No trip could be complete without mentioning Cuba's fabulous cars. Ancient Yankee marques abound, some 60,000 pre-embargo Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, Cadillacs and Chevys et al reputedly whizzing (or not, depending on their state of health) around the island. Most look gorgeous but are falling apart at the seams. Kept on the road through the love and ingenuity of Cuba's legendary mechanics, they are a constant reminder of the island's riotous sensuality. Oh - and if you're wondering why I called this image "Self Portrait"...
