Balls to this idea
When I'm not cycling to work I jump on the bus and then walk through Festival Square and Edinburgh's deeply unattractive financial district on the way to my own unattractive office.
Because I'm walking through early in the morn, I rarely see the kids who come here after school to skateboard in the open space and low walls.
However, I saw a young guy jump up and slide his back truck down this stone sculpture a few days ago. I was amazed at his control even when exiting the slide...amazing balance and gymnastic skill. I never came close when I was skateboarding in the late 70's and early 80's.
You can see the scratches from the boarders on the stone, but you can't see it unless you are up close. Great place for young peeps to hang out with their mates
